Up and running in minutes

No cloud accounts. No subscriptions. No port forwarding.

1

Install the Server

Download and run the server installer on any PC, laptop, or Raspberry Pi you own. The auto-installer handles everything.

2

Scan the QR Code

Open the urvault app on your Android phone and scan the QR code shown in the server dashboard. Paired in seconds.

3

Back Up Automatically

Set your schedule and walk away. urvault backs up your photos, videos, and files in the background — on WiFi or remotely.

Everything you need, nothing you don't

Built for people who want their data private — without the complexity.

🔒

Fully Private

Your backup server runs on your hardware. No third-party cloud, no subscriptions, no data leaving your network without your permission.

🌐

Access From Anywhere

Works seamlessly on home WiFi and remotely over cellular — no port forwarding or router configuration required. Just install and go.

Incremental Sync

Only changed files are uploaded. Smart deduplication keeps backups fast and storage lean — even across thousands of files.

📱

QR Pairing

Connect your phone to your server in seconds by scanning a QR code. No manual IP configuration needed on your local network.

🕐

Automatic Scheduling

Set it and forget it. urvault runs silently in the background on a schedule you control — hourly, daily, or custom intervals.

🖥️

Runs on Anything

The server runs on Linux or Windows. Raspberry Pi, old laptop, home PC — if it runs Node.js, it runs urvault.

💡 Installing the Android app: After downloading, tap the APK file on your phone. If prompted, enable Install from unknown sources in your Android settings — this is normal for apps outside the Play Store.
💡 Installing the Windows server: Extract the zip, open the urvault-server folder, and double-click Install URVault.bat. Click Yes on the administrator prompt. The installer sets up Node.js, MySQL, security keys, and a Windows service automatically — no manual steps required. When complete, open http://localhost:5173 in your browser to finish setup, then pair your phone via the app.
💡 Installing the Linux server: Extract the tar.gz, enter the urvault-server folder, and run sudo bash install/linux/install.sh. The script installs dependencies, configures the database, and starts the server. Open http://localhost:5173 to complete setup.
