URVault is designed to be reliable, but no backup system can guarantee 100% data recovery in all circumstances. Backup success depends on your network connection, server availability, available storage, and the condition of your files — none of which are within URVault LLC’s control.
When encrypted backups are enabled, your encryption keys are generated and stored exclusively on your device and server. URVault LLC has no copy and cannot decrypt or recover your data if keys are lost. This is a feature: only you can ever access your data. Please store your keys safely.
We strongly recommend periodically restoring a test file to confirm everything is working. URVault’s restore feature makes this easy. A backup you have never tested is a backup you have never confirmed.
Your server is your responsibility. Use strong passwords, keep software updated, and restrict network access appropriately. URVault LLC cannot protect a misconfigured or publicly exposed server.
