Privacy Policy

URVault LLC  ·  Effective March 21, 2026

The Short Version

Your files never leave your hands. URVault backs up your photos and files to a server you own and operate — not ours. URVault LLC never sees, stores, or has access to your personal data.

What We Collect

Device Identifier — a random ID generated on your device the first time you open the app. Used only to pair your device with your server. Stored on your device and your server only. URVault LLC does not receive it.
Pairing Token — a one-time authentication code stored locally and on your server only.
That’s it. URVault LLC maintains no user accounts, no cloud database, and no server that receives your personal information.

Your Files Stay on Your Server

When you back up, URVault sends your files directly to the server you set up — on your own hardware, under your own control. URVault LLC has no connection to your server and cannot access, view, or recover your backed-up files. This is the whole point of URVault: total privacy through self-hosting.

Camera Access

Camera permission is used exclusively to scan QR codes during server pairing. No photos are taken, stored, or transmitted.

Photo and Storage Access

URVault reads your photos and files to back them up to your own server. Files are never sent to URVault LLC or any third party. The app does not modify, delete, or share your files.

No Analytics, No Ads, No Tracking

URVault contains no analytics SDKs, advertising networks, crash-reporting services, or third-party trackers of any kind.

Children’s Privacy

URVault is not directed to children under 13. Contact privacy@urvault.net with concerns.

Your Rights

You may request confirmation, correction, or deletion of any data we hold. Contact privacy@urvault.net. We respond within 30 days.
